Building Canadian Leaders: Class of 1968 Scholarship in Rotman Commerce

The Building Canadian Leaders: Class of 1968 Scholarship in Rotman Commerce is awarded based on academic merit to a domestic student with strong leadership potential who has been admitted into first year studies in Rotman Commerce, Faculty of Arts & Science, St. George campus. The total award value is approximately $13,500 and is determined based on the annual income earned on endowed funds. Approximately $1,500 is awarded upon registration in year 1. The renewable amount is based on the annual income of endowed funds and is estimated to be approximately:

• Year 2 – $3,000
• Year 3 – $4,000  
• Year 4 – $5,000

The award is renewable on the basis of continued full-time registration in the program and a minimum annual GPA of 3.0. To be considered for the award, applicants must complete the Awards Profile by logging into join.utoronto.ca and following the Awards Profile link. Short-listed candidates will be contacted to arrange for an in-person or telephone or Skype interview.

Terms & Conditions

This award is for four consecutive academic years (Fall/Winter terms) and the total award value is indicated on your JOIN U of T portal.

This award is not tenable with any other admission award offered by the University of Toronto. This means that the scholarship offer that is of higher value will replace the scholarship of lower value. If in doubt, please contact the Faculty of Arts & Science Awards Unit at undergrad.awards.artsci@utoronto.ca.

This award is conditional on:

  1. Completion of your secondary school program with high academic standing and fully satisfying the conditions of your offer of admission to Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto. The program reserves the right to withdraw this award offer if these conditions are not satisfied.
  2. Full-time registration in Rotman Commerce at the Faculty of Arts & Science, St. George campus, in Year 1.
  3. Full-time registration in a Specialist in Rotman Commerce at the Faculty of Arts & Science, St. George campus, in Years 2, 3 and 4.
  4. Minimum annual GPA (AGPA) of 3.0 or higher.

Award renewal is based on your academic performance and compliance with the Terms & Conditions outlined above following your first, second and third consecutive year of study in a Rotman Commerce degree program. The award may be withdrawn due to unsatisfactory academic performance.

Payment

Award payments will be applied to your student account after your full-time enrolment in an eligible program is confirmed, typically by mid-October each year.
