Welcome to first year

We’re delighted that you’ve chosen to join us for your studies. We’re looking forward to getting to know you, growing with you and helping you build the best future you can – academically, professionally and socially.

Our program is diverse, engaging, challenging and full of possibilities that we hope you will take advantage of. While your first year of study will be devoted to gaining a foundation in management and other disciplines, in your second year, you will get the opportunity to specialize in one of our three core specialists programs: Accounting, Finance & Economics, or Management. Your third and fourth years will then be devoted to developing expertise in your chosen field.

Students who participate in the non-academic areas of Rotman Commerce life tend to get more out of the program than those who don’t, so we encourage you to get involved!

• Our student organizations offer amazing opportunities for you to gain and practice vital leadership and communication skills.
• Our Career Services team has career coaches and relationship managers who can work with you to map out your career journey – and help you take the steps towards building a satisfying career.
• There are dozens of conferences, competitions and social events offered by our student life team, student groups and House Committees that will help you make new friends and build your professional and personal networks.
