Deciding on a specialist
The following courses, normally taken in first year, give you an introduction to our three specialist areas and ensure that you have an understanding of each area prior to selecting your specialist program. We highly recommend that you take these courses in your first year.
- RSM219H1 – Introduction to Financial Accounting
- RSM230H1 – Financial Markets
- RSM250H1 – Principles of Marketing
If you are unsure of which specialist to pursue, don’t worry. Once you have been accepted into your choice of specialist program, you can switch it yourself on ACORN between the months of March-September (with exact dates listed in the Program Toolkit). We’ve shown you how to do this in the short video linked here, called Switching Programs.
Please note: if you are enrolled in any focus programs linked to the specialist, you will need to first drop the focus/es before switching your specialist. (See the Enrolling in a Specialist page for associated program codes.)
