TAHPS (TA Hours for Professional Skills)
Apply for additional TA hours to support the development of targeted professional skills in your courses.
The Centre for Professional Skills offers dedicated support to RC instructors through the TA Hours for Professional Skills Fund (TAHPS). Via this fund, RSM faculty can apply for supplemental TA hours for initiatives within their courses that target the development of students’ professional skills. While these include interpersonal and communication skills like teamwork, oral and written communication, and intercultural skills, the fund can also support the development of other skills, including enhancements to students’ technical skillsets.
Twice a year, instructors can submit requests for additional TA hours for new or enhanced activities/assessments that aim to develop students’ professional skills. The process involves a brief meeting with a member of the CPS team as well as submission of a debrief report at the end of term.
For the Fall term, applications are due in July.
For the Winter term, applications are due in November.
