The RC Career Journey Model
The RC Career Journey Model is the foundation of all our career programs, services and resources – it is designed to help you explore possibilities, grow your skills, and apply what you learn in real-world settings through three important stages.
Discover
By engaging with our programs, resources and services in this phase, you’ll discover your strengths, values, career interests and goals. Through resources like our RC Career Guides and the Career Leader assessment, you’ll explore career pathways you might not have considered and identify key elements that will allow you to make informed and intentional career decisions.
Develop
The Develop stage ensures you have the tools and confidence to market yourself and proactively manage your career. Here, you’ll focus on building a professional toolkit, learn to communicate your skills effectively effectively and build meaningful relationships. You’ll receive coaching on resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and personal branding, while participating in networking events, workshops, and industry-specific sessions.
Experience
The final stage emphasizes applying your skills in real-world contexts, including internships, part-time jobs, volunteer roles, technical training, case competitions, and career treks. These experiences allow you to demonstrate your value to employers, grow networks, refine strategies, and develop workplace readiness.
