House Executives
Each House Committee consists of six executive members:
- the House Mentor
- two House Captains
- three first-year House Leads (Events, Finance, and Marketing).
This team works collaboratively to plan and execute community-building events and initiatives for their House throughout the academic year.
The House Mentors work with the House Coordinators – two upper-year Rotman Commerce students who oversees all the Houses – to plan large-scale events and initiatives for everyone to enjoy! Learn more about your House Committee executives below.
2023-24 House Executives
Emilia and Malay are our House Coordinators for the 2023-24 academic year. They will oversee all five Houses and plan social events for the Rotman Commerce student body with the House Mentors!
Emilia Mah
- Year of study and program: Fourth Year, Management Specialist
- Hometown: Mississauga, Ontario
- What I love about the House System: I love the community built within Rotman Commerce through the House System and events. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people in the Rotman Commerce community, hangout with friends and explore new places in Toronto throughout the year!
- Favourite place on campus: John W. Graham Library, Trinity College. It’s a great place to study in groups or individually, plus it is beautiful on the inside with lots of old books and a view of campus.
- Extra-curricular involvements: Rotman Commerce Consulting Association (RCCA), Rotman Commerce Women in Business (RCWIB), Global Research & Consulting (GRC) Toronto, Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Reading Group Global Support Execution Specialist
- Hobbies: I love enjoying the outdoors through sports or hiking and also enjoy a chill indoors either watching movies, reading, baking or trying new things.
- Fun fact about me: I’m an expert at pulling efficient all-nighters and I don’t like to drink coffee.

Malay Gupta
- Year of study and program: Fourth Year, Management Specialist, Focus in Finance and Data Science in Business
- Hometown: Mumbai, India
- What I love about the House System: I love meeting new people in events every month and working with people within RC Houses to plan these events!
- Favourite place on campus: Below Gerstein Library, best study spot on campus.
- Extra-curricular involvements: Consultant for UTCA and 180 Degrees

Kate Woodside
House Mentor
- Year of study and program: Third Year, Accounting Specialist
- Hometown: Toronto
- What I love about the House System: I love that you have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of events with people from all years.
- Favourite place on campus: OISE. The Nexus Lounge has a really nice view of the city. In addition, it’s usually not too busy, so it’s a nice, quiet place to study.

Aastha Chakrapani
House Captain
- Year of study: Second Year, Finance and Economics Specialist
- Hometown: Kolkata, India
- What I love about the House System: The people I’ve met in and through the House System are some of the most welcoming and friendly people at UofT. The variety of events hosted allow students to explore the city with fellow RC students at reasonable prices and the atmosphere there is an amazing break from the stress of Uni!
- Favourite place on campus: The top few floors of Robarts – The views are so aesthetically pleasing and the overall vibes boost my productivity significantly while making me feel more relaxed.
- Extra-curricular involvements: RC Houses and 180 Degrees Consulting
- Hobbies: Arts and crafts, reading books, listening to music
- Fun fact about me: I know more than 10 forms of arts and crafts ranging from 3-D origami to beadwork and jewelry making!
- You can always ask me about: Anything related to Rotman Commerce or UofT in general, food recommendations – be it food combinations or restaurants/cafés, book recommendations. I’m more than happy to talk about anything and everything and learn about new topics I’m unaware about!
Krishi Shah

- What I love about the House System: The feeling of being in a community and being able to have fun while meeting tons of people!

- Fun fact about me: I’ve won third at Hip Hop Internationals World Championships in 2022.
Khushi Maheshwari

- What I love about the House System: The community, the people, and those amazing events which reduce the stress during exams!
- Favourite place on campus: The Rotman MBA building. It is a beautiful and modern building, has huge amazing pink staircases, and a fire place on the first floor.
- Extra-curricular involvements: RC Houses and Marketing Associate at RCREA
- Hobbies: I like swimming & tennis, watching movies (Huge Marvel Fan), travelling, cycling, and learning new languages

Krystine Pham

- What I love about the House System: I love that the House System is continually working on improvement and provides challenges that better you as an individual.
- Favourite place on campus: St. George street! My favourite memories on campus are walking down St. George enjoying the views and company on a nice day.
- Extra-curricular involvements: Marketing Manager at RCIG and House Mentor at RC Houses 🙂

Stephen Yules
House Captain
- Year of study and program: Second Year, Finance and Economics Specialist with Focus in Data Science
- Hometown: Hackettstown, New Jersey
- What I love about the House System: The community is the best part of the House System. You get to meet amazing people from all years at every event and form closer relationships than some of the other clubs since the house teams are so small. Having less academic events is the best when everything else can be so academic-focused, and being able to supply that is one of the best feelings.
- Favourite place on campus: I love Gerstein, it’s an amazing place to study that isn’t too busy and a good atmosphere. The tables are large and you can normally find a spot somewhere. It has a nice mix of new and old architecture, allowing anyone to find a new place to study every time you go.
- Extra-curricular involvements: RC House Captain and GRC External Relations Associate
- Hobbies: Reading manga, exploring new areas, playing video games, sports, coding and keeping up with Overwatch League.
- Fun fact about me: I have my face on the wall of Hot Hot Hot Wings in Chiang Mai after I won their DaBomb One Wing Challenge.

Gavin Brodie

- Hometown: Toronto
- What I love about the House System: Being part of the House System has taught me so much about university – the most important lesson: you will get out what you put in! The RC Houses provide many opportunities to get to know other RC students and build a community – I met many great friends through this club and its been an amazing experience so far!
- Favourite place on campus: University College Library! Love the Hogwarts feel the whole UC building has and the library is very beautiful. Pro Tip – top floor small study hubs are a great study spot!
- Extra-curricular involvements: Director of Marketing for Rotman Commerce FinTech Association! Assistant Peer Mentor for FLC – shoutout to my wonderful Mentees!

- What I love about the House System: I love the atmosphere of the House System. It is just so welcoming and has given me the best experiences!
- Favourite place on campus: My favourite place on campus is the OISE lobby. I love studying there! It has the perfect amount of noise and it’s not too quiet.

- Hobbies: My hobbies include reading, watching movies and going on walks. I also love to bake!

Rachel Wong

- Hobbies: I love playing sports, especially those that require teamwork! For example, I have been on my school team for basketball, volleyball and ultimate frisbee. In addition to sports, I also like to learn new K-pop choreographies but during my downtime I enjoy discovering new jazz and R&B music to vibe to. I also like to bake pastries and cakes!

Ellie Cheong

- What I love about the House System: My favourite thing about the House System is that it brings the Rotman Commerce community together for fun events (and at a discounted price!)
- Favourite place on campus: Walking down St. George! But especially during sunset because it looks absolutely stunning with the sun setting and the CN Tower. I have way too many pictures of the same street and view on my phone!
- Extra-curricular involvements: RC House System
- Hobbies: My hobbies include watching movies, swimming, and skateboarding!
- Fun fact about me: Nearly all of my closest friends are international students that I met at university during first year and I have a cute rescue dog that flew from Korea!
- You can always ask me about: Study spaces off campus! I always focus better with a little bit of noise and I like to change up the scenery when I get the chance to. Feel free to ask me about first year and anything else you can think of!
Natasha Eberhardt

- What I love about the House System: I love that each team gets to create unique events for all Rotman students and that the RC House System gives students a chance to explore Toronto and connect with other students in their program or speciality.
- Favourite place on campus: Emmanuel Library, it’s so quiet and the architecture is stunning. (There are also outlets at every desk which is a necessity for me.)
- Extra-curricular involvements: For the 2023-4 year I am a Finance Committee Member for both Rotman Commerce Law Association and Fashion Group.
- Hobbies: I’m an avid baker and I have a tendency to spend far too much time gaming than I really should.
- Fun fact about me: I collect records from the 70s/80s
