At Rotman Commerce, we look for students who are going to thrive in our rigorous and rewarding program. Our students are bright, curious, engaged, and have a passion for business and its possibilities.

While our academic standards are high, we consider the overall suitability of applicants when it comes to admission. Your grades are important, but so are your extracurricular activities, your capacity to learn and to lead, and your ability to express yourself.

Your academic transcript

While the thresholds for admission vary by region, our students are generally in the top 5% of their class. In Ontario, this means a minimum overall average in the mid-high 80s, with close attention paid to the program prerequisites of English and Calculus.

Your other skills and qualifications

Every applicant to Rotman Commerce must submit a Supplemental Application in addition to their OUAC application. You can think of the Supplemental Application as an interview of sorts – it lets you tell your story in a way that goes beyond your grades, and gives us a chance to learn more about you. The Supplemental Application includes brief written and video responses that we consider along with your academic record when we complete our admission evaluation.
