CAD $8,000 scholarships are awarded to assist students with disabilities, Indigenous, LGBTQ2S+, Francophone and those who identify as a member of a visible minority group or racialized group to help remove barriers to education and support greater diversity in our workforce.

In addition to the award, successful candidates may be offered a work opportunity at the Bank, with mentorship by a Bank employee.

To be considered for one of these scholarships, you must:

  • be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
  • be pursuing post-secondary studies at the University level (undergraduate) or College – either full-time or part-time – in a field related to the Bank’s work, including:
    • Economics and Finance: economics, computer science, mathematics or statistics, commerce or business administration with a finance major
    • Administration and Operations: financial services, administration and business, project management, human resources, accounting, communications and web development, internal audit, currency production, knowledge and information management, security
    • Information Technology and Cyber Security: software development, network engineering, solution architecture, project management, business analysis, cyber security
  • have an overall average grade of 70 percent or higher
  • must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution for application year

What is the Cansbridge Fellowship?
Each year, the Fellowship selects a small cohort of Canadian students (~15) with exceptional character to participate in a self-organized internship in Asia, supported by a $10,000 scholarship. The Cansbridge experience equips Fellows with a global and entrepreneurial mindset, along with a lifelong community that uplifts and inspires.

  • The DAAD program offers a general exchange program for undergraduate and graduate students who wish to pursue graduate-level studies or research in Germany. For more information on DAAD funding and a full list of scholarships they offer please visit DAAD Scholarship Database.
  • DAAD Study Scholarship:
    Students in the final year of their undergraduate studies will receive a scholarship for a full Master’s degree at a German University or receive funding to complete course work at a German University towards their master’s degree at U of T.

The Ellison Scholars program empowers exceptional individuals to become global technology innovators and leaders of the future, solving humanity’s most challenging and enduring problems. Scholars actively contribute to EIT’s innovation projects across its four humane endeavours – health and medical science, food security and sustainable agriculture, climate change and clean energy and government innovation in the era of AI, through technological advancements, transforming research into practical solutions and scaling them for global impact. 

The program provides full funding for undergraduate or graduate studies at the University of Oxford, covering course fees, a generous living stipend and the equivalent of paid internships. Alongside their Oxford education, Scholars engage in project-based learning and receive mentorship with world-renowned experts at EIT, preparing them to drive profound change in their home countries and around the world.

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2025-2026 school year. The Generation Google Scholarship will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate’s demonstrated leadership, academic performance, and financial need. The Laidlaw Undergraduate Research & Leadership Programme, also known as the Laidlaw Scholars Programme, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders. We believe in the power of data-driven decision-making and the importance of leading with integrity. This program is open to full-time first and second-year undergraduate students studying at the University of Toronto (all three campuses) from all backgrounds and fields of study. Interested in mentorship, leadership skills development, and funding to start your next degree?

The McCall MacBain Scholarships are Canada’s largest leadership-based scholarships for master’s and professional studies. The program brings together students who strive to engage in positive change by taking on meaningful leadership roles.

Up to 30 full scholarships and 100 one-time awards, ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 each, will be offered for 2026 admission. Two-thirds of the scholarships are available for Canadian students, and one-third are for international students in Canada and abroad.

Criteria: Character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity.

The Jamaal Magloire Foundation has opened applications for this year’s Randhawa Rising Stars Scholarship, an academic prize awarded to a student who shows exceptional promise in business. 

The award — provided generously by the Randhawa family of Toronto— is for Black, Indigenous, and students of colour from the Greater Toronto Area who have enrolled in a 4-year B Com or BBA program and demonstrated financial need.

The successful applicant will be awarded $20,000 ($5,000 per year for 4 years) to go toward their business education. 

TD partnered with AFOA Canada in November 2022 to build a scholarship program. It is now their fourth year delivering this program, where 25 annual scholarships of $15,000 are awarded. Students can participate for up to four years, for a total of $60,000 in funding support. Through this program, students will also take part in annual internships with TD.
