Health and safety guidelines for new semester | September 8, 2020

Dear Rotman Commerce students,

I hope you’ve had a good summer. As we begin the new school year, I’d like to share some guidelines that will help us ensure a safe return to campus this fall. While the majority of our activities will take place online and remotely this semester, some of you may have in-person classes in your schedules or may need to be on campus for research or other reasons.

We have prepared these guidelines for a safe and healthy return to campus that incorporate both the Rotman School of Management’s COVID-19 Return to Campus Guidelines along with an Addendum specifically intended for Rotman Commerce students. I encourage you to take note of the safety precautions and measures that apply to you, particularly if you have classes on campus this semester.

The Rotman Commerce physical offices and breakout rooms at both 125 St George St. and 252 Bloor St. W (OISE) will remain closed until further notice. All of our services are being offered online and remotely, and we encourage you to connect with our academic advisors, career educators, student life staff, and student organizations via the RC portal, web, social media, and email. We are continuing to update job postings and virtual event listings for our students on the portal, so don’t forget to log on regularly for the latest opportunities.

We all recognize that this semester will be challenging and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards a safe return to campus. Our priority remains the health and well-being of our Rotman Commerce community and we are committed to ensuring that our activities and operations meet the highest standards of safety while maintaining academic excellence and robust career, student life, and academic services support for all of our students.

If you have any questions about this document, please get in touch with us at rotmancommerce.info@utoronto.ca.

With best wishes for a safe and productive start to the semester,
Leanne
