For students with previous post-secondary studies outside of the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto. If you have studied within another campus or faculty at the University of Toronto or any other college or university this section applies to you. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the program\u2019s limited capacity and its high retention rate, very few spaces are available for applicants with prior post-secondary education.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rotman Commerce does not generally accept students with any previous post-secondary education, transfers from other universities, or second-degree students. Students who choose to apply must complete the Form Requesting Special Consideration, available on the JOIN Portal, to be considered for admission to Rotman Commerce. Applicants should use the form to demonstrate why an exception to the rule should be made for them. Combined with exceptionally strong academic history, particularly at the post-secondary level, transfer students may be competitive for admission, dependent on space available in the program.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As admission by way of transfer is extremely competitive, transfer applicants wishing to study business at the university level are advised to explore multiple options. In the rare case that transfer students are admitted, it is generally to the first year of the program due to the required coursework.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Transfer students may have completed similar course work in their earlier studies, but do not normally receive equivalent transfer credit for all of the first-year courses that are part of the <\/span>Guaranteed Admission requirements.<\/span><\/a> You must meet all of these requirements before being able to proceed to the second year of the program, which may mean additional time and financial cost<\/a> to degree completion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Master of Management (MMgt)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

While transfer opportunities into Rotman Commerce are limited, students can still pursue a Rotman business education through the Master of Management (MMgt) program at the Rotman School of Management. This 11-month graduate program is designed for students who have completed their undergraduate degree in a non-business discipline, allowing them to acqurie valuable skills in business fundamentals without disrupting their undergraduate academic progress.<\/p>\n

Non-Degree Students<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Non-degree students and Visiting students are not eligible to enroll in Rotman Commerce courses.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Exchange Students<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Students studying at another university who are interested in attending Rotman Commerce on exchange should consult the <\/span>Centre for International Experience<\/span><\/a> for guidelines and procedures.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
