To apply you must have a minimum of a 2.25 CGPA as of Fall 2025. Some schools have higher CGPA requirements. For the 2026-27 exchange year, we will assess eligibility based on your CGPA; inclusive of grades from Fall 2025. Applications will not be ranked on CGPA. This really depends on the institution and the number of applicants in a given year. We do strive to offer as many exchange opportunities to as many students as we can but there are a limited number of spaces at each partner institution. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

It varies by term, year and institution. Most schools have between four to six spaces; some more and some less. There are no additional fees to apply or take courses while on exchange. Students continue to pay their regular U of T tuition and Rotman program fee, just as they would if studying on campus. Living expenses, travel costs (including flights and insurance), and day-to-day spending in the host country are the primary costs to budget for.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

To help offset these expenses, U of T offers several funding opportunities. Most students receive at least one grant\u2014such as the CIE International Scholar Award<\/strong>\u2014which can assist with costs like flights, accommodation, and meals while abroad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

You can take any courses you like, however, as a Rotman Commerce student, you will still pay the Rotman Commerce program fee, even if you\u2019re taking non-business courses (similar to taking non-RSM courses at U of T).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

With the help of the Centre for International Experience and the Rotman Commerce Office (for RSM courses), you can find equivalents for courses you are interested in at your school of choice. You will need to submit a request for pre-assessment of your intended courses. Once your courses are pre-assessed\/approved, you are guaranteed to receive a U of T credit for the course(s), provided that you earn a passing grade.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

Even though you receive transfer credits for approved courses you complete abroad, no grades appear on your U of T transcript.
