All students in the first-year Commerce stream are admitted into\u202ffirst year with a guaranteed place in the Rotman Commerce program beginning in second year, provided they meet the following Guaranteed Admission (GA) requirements by the end of the Summer session (i.e., August).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    \n
  1. Complete\u00a0RSM100H1<\/strong><\/a>, Introduction to Management, with a mark of at least 67%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Complete\u00a0ECO101H1<\/strong><\/a>, Principles of Microeconomics, and\u00a0ECO102H<\/strong>1<\/strong><\/a>, Principles of Macroeconomics, each with a mark of at least 63%. Students must obtain a grade of at least 63% in each of these two\u202fcourses, and\u00a0are not able to average out the marks between the two. Note that ECO101H is a prerequisite for ECO102H.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Complete\u202fMAT133Y1<\/strong><\/a>, Calculus and Linear Algebra for Commerce with a mark of at least 63%, OR<\/strong>\u202f MAT130H1<\/a>\/MAT135H1<\/a><\/strong>\u202fwith a final mark of at least 60% \u202fAND <\/strong>\u202fMAT136H1<\/a><\/strong>with a final mark of at least 60%, OR <\/strong>\u202fMAT137Y1<\/a>\/[MAT148H1<\/a>, MAT149H1<\/a><\/strong>]\u202fwith a final mark of at least 55%, OR<\/strong>\u202f MAT157Y1<\/a>\u202f\/[MAT158H1<\/a>, MAT159H1<\/a><\/strong>] with a final mark of at least 55%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Accumulate a minimum of 4.0 credits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n

    None of the required courses may be completed using the CR\/NCR option<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    \n

    You may have up to two attempts<\/strong><\/a> in a GA course to meet the minimum mark.  If you fail to meet any of the requirements, you will lose your\u202fGuaranteed Admission status.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    \n

    If you have\u202fany questions or concerns about meeting\u202fyour GA requirements\u202for if you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from meeting the requirements by the end of your first year, you should\u202fmake an appointment with a Rotman\u202fCommerce academic advisor<\/a>\u202fto discuss your situation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    In exceptional circumstances, you may submit a request for an extension to your GA requirements. Requests must be received no later than August 31 of your first year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    \n

    To make the most of your academic experience, we encourage you to keep on top of your workload for each course. If you find yourself having trouble with class requirements, seek advising and a referral for extra help from the various resources on campus\u202fas soon as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Part-time s<\/strong>tudy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n

    If you have been admitted to part-time\u202fstudy, your Guaranteed Admission\u202fwill be assessed once you have completed 4.0 credits. These credits must include the courses and marks indicated in the Guaranteed Admission requirements. To qualify under the\u202fpart-time provision,\u202fstudents must have been enrolled in a part-time course load from the beginning of each session.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
