The Director\u2019s Awards<\/strong> were created to recognize graduating students who have made outstanding contributions to the Rotman Commerce Community. The awards recognize students in\u202ffive categories: Community, Leadership, Innovation, Academic Excellence, and Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

The Community <\/strong>award will recognize students who exemplify community spirit in their approach to learning and involvement within Rotman Commerce. The award recipient exemplified the Rotman Commerce values of mutual respect and collaboration, support and\u202finclusion of diversity, professionalism, personal responsibility and\u202fintegrity, and commitment to excellence in all endeavours.\u00a0A maximum of four recipients in this category are awarded annually.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

The Leadership <\/strong>award will recognize students who display leadership through extracurricular activities within Rotman Commerce. The award recipient has engaged in leadership that encouraged and involved diverse individuals and their perspectives in a collaborative process towards a common goal.\u00a0A maximum of four recipients in this category are awarded annually.*<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

The Innovation <\/strong>award will recognize students who express creativity through the introduction of new ideas, projects, and practices that better the Rotman Commerce community. The award recipient has integrated the interests of and leveraged the talents of diverse Rotman Commerce communities within the innovation.\u00a0A maximum of four recipients in this category are awarded annually.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

The Academic Excellence <\/strong>award will recognize students graduating in the top 1% of their class. Please note, there is no application process for this category. Recipients are selected based on their GPA.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion<\/strong> award will recognize students who have demonstrated dedication in advancing EDI within Rotman Commerce. The award recipient has contributed to increasing access to programming, adopted practices that foster an inclusive campus environment and\/or championed policies to make learning more accessible and equitable.\u00a0A maximum of four recipients in this category are awarded annually.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

*Students who have received the University of Toronto Student Leadership Award (UTSLA) are NOT<\/strong> eligible for the RC Leadership award category but may apply to the others.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

Eligibility and Application<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

The student applicant must meet the following requirements: <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n
    \n
  • a recent\/current student in Rotman Commerce; <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • graduated\/graduating in November 2025 and June 2026; and  <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • in good academic standing (minimum 1.85 CGPA, and no disciplinary annotations on transcript).\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

    To <\/strong>apply for a Director’s Award, you will be asked to complete an application form and two nomination endorsements. More details are provided during the application cycle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    2026 Director’s Awards<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    \n

    The 2026 Director’s Award application period is now closed. Information on award recipients will be featured on our RC social media channels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    \n

    The 2027 Director’s Award<\/strong> applications will open in early April 2027. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
